Bakersfield Municipal Courts

This project involved the four general parking locations in the vicinity of the multi-story Bakersfield Municipal courts Complex in downtown Bakersfield, California

The parking areas involved in this project were:
1). A lot south of the building.
2). An underground garage of the Superior Courts building across an open street (the location where Superior Court Judges also parked).
3). A new multi-level parking structure with public access south of the new County Administration Building (across an abandoned street right-of-way from the Municipal Court building.
4). A below ground parking area of limited capacity beneath the new County Administration building.

SBD's personnel performed an analysis and made recommendations for optimizing the safety of the Municipal Court Judges.

Of Special Interest

The study, funded by and administrative "discretionary" allocation to the Municipal Judges, was requested by the concerned Municipal Judges based on their acquaintance with the prior study regarding the recommended security arrangements for the Superior Courts.
