Security By Design
Involvement
This project was to interface with the architects and the
Teller House Team to help coordinate the various types of
security and life safety systems for communications, CCTV,
alarms and monitoring, slot machine management "EDT"
systems, and fire detection. Safety issues were dealt with
to monitor liability issues.
The
object at Teller House was to blend the gaming surveillance
and the physical security concerns to achieve an overall awareness
and coordination within the staff while living within the
strict architectural constraints of the historical nature
and value of the structure. The approach to the surveillance
of the gaming areas were not only to satisfy the Colorado
Gaming Commission and set a precedent in Colorado, but also
to engineer a design that would provide TMI with other pertinent
information. Part of the challenge of this project was to
complete the task within a two-month time frame.
